BSA is able to provide its customers with comprehensive
optical fibre support. This ranges from the installation of
fibre trunks in ducting under streets, through to
in-building installations and the commissioning of fibre
based services.
BSA recognises Optical Fibre technology as an underpinning
part of the future delivery of communications services. As
such BSA has invested in the development of resources and
services to support Fibre. Currently, BSA provides the
following services in this area:
- Installation of Optical Fibre trunk cables between
floors, buildings or more geographically disperse
locations.
- Establishment of Optical Fibre paths through
customer networks, including proving of the paths and
repair of faults.
- Design, installation and commissioning of
in-building Optical Fibre networks.
- Design, installation and commissioning of
Fibre-To-The-Home networks.
- Maintenance of existing Optical Fibre services,
including fault identification and rectification.

Domain Reflectometry (OTDR).
